Sen. Kevin Bryant

“Kevin married his lovely wife, the former Ann Barinowski of Augusta, GA, in 1989. Kevin and Ann three children. The Bryants attend Concord Community Church, a non-denominational New Testament fellowship, where Kevin serves as deacon. Kevin serves on the Board of Directors of Camp Hope, a Christian youth camp. Also, Kevin commits one week each year to serve as activities director at Camp Hope. In their spare time, the Bryants enjoy yard work, computers, cooking, spending time together & enjoying God’s creation.

Bryant is the former chairman of the Anderson County Republican Party (ACRP), a position he successfully served in for four years. In February 2000, the ACRP turned out 27,000 Republican voters in the Presidential Primary, tripling the 9,000 voters in 1996! This incredible task was performed by hundreds of volunteer Republican poll workers.

Another indicator of Bryant’s leadership was his being elected to represent S.C. at the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia in 2000. Later that year, the influence of the ACRP resulted in the election of Republicans in 17 of 23 offices on the ballot. In 2002, all incumbent Republicans in Anderson County were re-elected. The Anderson County Republican Party recognizes and appreciates Kevin Bryant’s participation and leadership. In 2004, Bryant was awarded the prestigious Circle Award by President George W. Bush.

In 2004, Bryant received 64% of the vote to serve in the S.C. Senate District 3. Currently, Kevin serves on the following committees:

  • Finance
  • Other Funds Oversight
  • Labor, Commerce & Industry (sub-committee chair)
  • Agriculture (sub-committee chair)
  • Medical Affairs
  • General

He has been a constant voice for limited government, lower taxes, and supporting traditional family values. Bryant is committed to providing superior constituent service as liaison between Anderson County citizens and the variety of government agencies.”
